Barrick delegation visit Headquarters NLC

A high-level delegation of Barrick Gold Corporation led by Mr. Mark Bristow President & CEO of Barrick Gold Corporation visited NLC on Monday. Upon arrival at Headquarters NLC, the delegation was warmly received by Major General Farrukh Shahzad Rao, Director General NLC.

DG NLC briefed the delegation about the diverse services of NLC with special focus on end-to-end logistics services, regional connectivity initiatives under Transport Internationaux Routiers (TIR) and skill development of human resource capital. He said that NLC being the premier multimodal logistics organization has the requisite capacity to transport any volume of cargo through road, rail, air and sea modes to any location within the country and beyond the borders. He offered the services of NLC to meet the logistics and skill development of human resource requirements of Reko Diq Mining company.

Talking on the occasion, Mr. Mark Bristow lauded NLC's role in facilitating customs clearance of RDMC’s cargo at Karachi Port and ensuring its secure transportation to the project site. He expressed strong optimism about establishment of an enduring and mutually beneficial relationship between RDMC and NLC, saying that the potential cooperation between the two entities will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of mining operations at Reko Diq.
