First ever Shipment of Mangoes from Pakistan to Tashkent, Uzbekistan

NLC truck reached Uzbekistan in record 6 days

The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) transported first ever shipment of Pakistani mangoes from Hyderabad to Tashkent (Uzbekistan) in record six days. This milestone marks the organization’s commitment to expand Pakistan's agri products exports to the untapped markets of Central Asian Republics (CARs).

To ensure the preservation of the fruit’s quality during transit, NLC utilized special reefer container that maintained the temperature at required level, thus guaranteeing the mangoes' freshness upon arrival at destination.

The first reefer truck, laden with approximately 15 tons of premium quality mangoes, departed Hyderabad for Uzbekistan. The truck covered a distance of more than 2800 kilometers in record time with custom formalities at border terminals .

These mangoes, meeting stringent international standards, were processed and packed with the utmost care to ensure their suitability for export. The shipment signifies logistics opportunity for the agriculture sector of Pakistan.

This venture into the landlocked CARs heralds a new era for Pakistani farmers, enabling them to reach new markets. The land-based transportation to CARs will not only generate substantial foreign exchange but also help in enhancing the socio-economic conditions of the farmers by providing them with broader market access.

It is noteworthy that NLC has successfully established regional connectivity, thereby diversifying export options for Pakistan's business community. This latest initiative underscores NLC's role in boosting Pakistan's export capabilities and helping economic growth through end-to-end logistics solutions.
